Cookham Regatta

What is Rotary

We are neighbors, community leaders and global citizens uniting for the common good.  Rotary International supports Rotary clubs worldwide by coordinating global programs, campaigns, and initiatives.  It is the world’s largest voluntary service organisation with  over a million members in over 200 countries.

In Great Britain and Ireland there are some 58,000 Rotarians spread amongst 1,845 clubs helping people in need and working towards world understanding and peace.  We are from all walks of life and bring a variety of knowledge and experience to our clubs in many different ways to support local and global charities.   It’s a fulfilling role and Rotarians can get involved as much or as little as their time will allow.  We have a proven record of excellent work in our local community and try to put the fun into our fundraising events.

In the year 2000, the clubs of Cookham Bridge and Marlow Thames joined forces to organise the annual Cookham Regatta.  Since then thousands of visitors, sponsors and competitors have helped to raise funds for local charities.
